  1. What’s the difference between a hydrator and moisturiser?
Hydrators contain ingredients called humectants, such as glycerin or hyaluronic acid, that not only absorb the water from environment, but at the same time increase the water content within the skin cells making them appear plumper.
Moisturizers can be emollients or can contain occlusives. They can work to seal or lock in the moisture that’s already there. This helps improve the skin’s protective barrier and restore its natural hydration levels.

  2. What is transepidermal water loss?
Refers to the water or moisture that evaporates from the skin cells through the topmost layer of the skin making the skin appear dull and dehydrated. This is why you need a hydrator that will not only improve skin’s barrier properties but also helps prevent transepidermal water loss.

  3. Which skin types is this hydrator suitable for?
Works best on normal to dry skin. The ultra-light texture provides intense hydration for extremely dry skin.

  4. How does seaweed benefit the skin?
Sea Weed is known to adapt to changing environments which makes it a superfood for skin,.
Seaweed is a rich source of vitamins and minerals known for excellent moisturising and hydrating properties.

  5. How many times a day should I use this?
This product should be used twice daily, morning and evening as it works throughout the day, keeping your skin nourished and hydrated, preventing transepidermal water loss and works at night for skin repair.

  6. Can I use this before sunscreen?
As a rule of thumb, you should always apply sunscreen as the final step in your skin care routine.

  7. Can this be used as a night cream?
Yes, you can use this at night as well, however, we recommend to use this as a day cream to protect your skin against environmental stressors during the day.
